Terms of Service

Last updated September 2026.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using BlogBuddy in any way, you agree to these terms. If you're using BlogBuddy on behalf of an organization, you're agreeing on its behalf and confirming you have the authority to do so.

2. The service

BlogBuddy is a headless blogging platform: you manage content and design through the dashboard, and your own site or app fetches it through the public API or the SDK. We may add, change, or remove features over time; we'll try to give reasonable notice before removing something you rely on.

3. Accounts and teams

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials and API keys secure, and for all activity under your account and on the blogs you own. Let us know right away if you suspect unauthorized access. A blog's admin - whoever owns it - can invite teammates to it by email, remove them, and hand the blog over to one of them. Every API key belongs to one blog and can only ever read that blog.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use BlogBuddy to host or distribute content that's illegal, infringing, or that violates someone else's rights. Don't attempt to disrupt the service, circumvent rate limits or API key scoping, or access data that isn't yours.

5. Your content

You own the posts, images, fonts, and designs you upload. You grant us the license needed to store, process, and serve that content back through the API, solely to operate the service on your behalf. We don't claim ownership of anything you create, and we don't use it to train anything.

6. Plans, limits and billing

Each plan has published limits on blogs, posts, storage and monthly API requests. Those limits are enforced rather than billed: when you reach one, the action is refused and the dashboard tells you which limit you hit. There is no overage charge and nothing bills you by surprise. Paid plans are handled by Stripe and billed monthly in advance. Changing plan, updating a card and cancelling all happen in Stripe's own billing portal, reachable from your settings page - so what you see there is exactly what you are charged. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and your account returns to the free plan then. We don't prorate refunds for partial months, but if something went wrong on our side, write to us and we'll sort it out. If a payment fails, Stripe retries it for a few days before the subscription ends. You keep your plan during that window.

7. Support

Report a bug from any page in the dashboard - the report arrives with the page you were on attached, which is usually the difference between a fix and a guess. You can also email support@blogbuddy.net. Paid plans are answered first. We don't offer a phone line and we don't promise a response time.

8. Staff access

BlogBuddy staff can read account records, and can open your dashboard as you in order to reproduce a problem you have reported. Every such action is written to an internal audit log that staff cannot edit. We do this to support and operate the service, not to browse it.

9. Termination and deletion

You can delete your account at any time from your settings page. Doing so removes the blogs you own, with their posts, uploaded media and API keys. Two things deliberately survive: bug reports you filed, so we can still fix what you told us about, and the internal audit record of staff actions. Screenshots attached to a bug report are deleted about ninety days after the report is resolved. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, with notice where reasonably possible.

10. Disclaimers and liability

BlogBuddy is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and we don't offer a uptime guarantee. To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Keep your own backups of anything you can't afford to lose - the dashboard can export every post in a blog as JSON at any time.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date; continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
